WISHING TREE

Dear Parents:

We have had many parents suggest that we have a "Wishing Tree" posted on our web site for parents and other patrons to visit for information on items that the school and individual classroom teachers may need.  A "Wishing Tree" is an old Chinese tradition that allows people to write their wishes on pieces of paper and then attach them to a tree. It was believed that certain trees contained spirits and that you could make a wish by touching those trees or walking round them three times forward and then three times backwards. In fact, this is how the lucky saying “touch wood” originated.  This is our version of a "Wishing Tree."  We have listed supplies and some equipment that the school and our teachers are in need of and consider luxuries for their classrooms.  If you would like to contribute to the school by purchasing an item, your donation would be greatly appreciated by all faculty and staff!!

PRESCHOOL -  Colored Felt, Colored foam, Googly eyes, Feathers, Colored buttons, Construction paper, Variety of glitter, White paper lunch bags, Finger paint, Paper for finger painting, Glue sticks, Chubby paintbrushes for easel, Sequins. Colored beads and lacing, Crayola washable markers, Crayola water, colored paint sets, Farm and animals, Match box or hot wheels cars, Sidewalk chalk, Rubber balls for outside, Jump ropes. Hula-hoops, Disposable camera - 36 exposure.

GRADE 8 -  Masking Tape, Wax Clips, White Construction Paper, Sharpie Markers (variety of colors), Glue Gun w/refills, Colored Tissue Paper (for Art), Windex or Formula 409 Cleaner, Red Pens, Heavy Duty Paper Shredder, DVD/VCR Combo Unit. 

COMPUTER LAB -  New 17" LCD Monitors (Black), Velcro Strips, Tissues, Cleaning Wipes, Photo Paper, Old Cell Phones and Printer Cartridges for Recycling, Large Portable Air Conditioner (on wheels)
