PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Our Kindergarten through Grade 5 Physical Education program is based on experiences that will enable our students to learn the process of movement and to acquire skills of movement.  Through movement exploration, play, exercise, and games our students develop an enjoyment for fitness activities.  The intermediate grades 3 - 5 are introduced to a progression of skills that will help them advance towards the team sports and fitness games that are played in the upper Grades.

The Grade 6 - 8 Physical Education program is based on experience that will create a wholesome atmosphere, stimulate participation in vigorous play, and project knowledge of games, team sports and other fitness activities through instruction.  Activities are designed to meet the needs and interest of students developing their physical efficiency and recreational skills.  Our program incorporates vigorous activity to help enhance physical development and social skills.  Safety is stressed in all activities as well as formulating the ability to play by the rules while using proper sportsmanship.
